Each October, we have the opportunity to honor the individuals who share their wisdom, encouragement and leadership with us on a daily basis. Bosses Day began in 1958 when Patricia Bays Haroski noticed that her boss, who was also her father, performed multiple tasks on a daily basis to benefit his employees, but was never recognized for his efforts. To change this, his daughter requested to designate a specific day to show appreciation for bosses, choosing her father’s birthday, October 16th, as the special day. Four years later, National Bosses Day was official. Today, Port Charlotte Florist celebrates the mentors bosses have become with a variety of gifts, plants and floral arrangements that bosses will love. Read More about Give Your Boss A Great Gift »
