Memorial Day In Flowers

Across the country, Americans will gather with their families, friends or others to celebrate Memorial Day on Monday, May 28th. The holiday is widely regarded as the “unofficial” start of the summer season, and festivities may include activities like boating, barbecuing, or having picnics at the beach. The National Holiday Act of 1971 made Memorial Day a legal federal holiday. The Port Charlotte Floristteam wants to encourage you to incorporate patriotic-colored flowers into your Memorial Day festivities.

Our Patriotic Parade Bouquet is the ideal floral arrangement with which to decorate the grave of a family member who died in combat, or served the country before their death. It’s also the perfect addition to the decor you may have for a backyard barbecue. We wanted to make sure that we captured the flag colors in every aspect of this design, and that starts with the cobalt blue-colored glass vase. We fill it with white Asiatic lilies, red roses, red mini carnations, and blue delphinium. We add some white accent flowers and curly willow as an accent. The final touch is an American flag-inspired ribbon that we tie around the heck of the vase.

Let Port Charlotte Florist help you rev up the spirit of Patriotism for your Memorial Day celebration. We can help you choose or customize a flower arrangement that incorporates red, white, and blue flowers.
