Enduring Floral Gifts for Veterans Day

Our community is steeped in heroes, and on November 11, we honor them. Specifically, we commemorate those veterans who served their country in the U.S. military, defending and protecting the rest of us. But beyond the parades, parties and observances, as well as the informal gatherings with friends and family, we may want to make a personal gesture.

It can be hard to know exactly what to get our favorite veteran, but at Port Charlotte Florist, we have some ideas in mind that speak to the uniqueness of the occasion.

We’re favoring striking, atypical designs that will suit either a male or a female. Something like our Driftwood Orchids with its warm green orchids scuttling up the branches is a nice balance of the earthy and organic with the ethereal. This is a piece that can live outside or in, and makes for something gorgeous and resonant to look at on the occasion of Veterans Day and beyond.

Just as alluring is our Bromeliad Plant, whose blooms are a patriotic red and look like fireworks on their way up to the sky. In offering a floral gift to our veterans, it’s nice to present something that will last (given some easy care). The poignancy of the occasion calls for a floral gift that is enduring and hardy, and the bromeliad fits the bill.

Port Charlotte Florist wishes our local veterans a happy day spent with friends and family, reflecting on their time as one of our country’s bravest.
